Pod 1 - Understanding Grantmakers: This session delves into the creation and evolution of Foundations, exploring the reasons behind their establishment and how they change over time. You will gain insights into the decision-making processes involved, learn to identify key decision makers, and engage in an interactive play, offering a memorable and eye-opening experience.

Pod 2 - Setting Research Aims: This session helps you raise more money by understanding 12 key research questions, converting research into action, and creating a compliant record-keeping system. It provides a comprehensive template for gathering information on funders and prospects to enhance fundraising strategies.

Pod 3 - Mastering the Research Tools: This pod aims to build your core research toolkit without significant expenses. By the end of the pod, you will be familiar with at least three essential research sources and gain an understanding of the potential benefits of researching funders.

Pod 4 - The Art of Applications: This session dives in on how to excel in completing application forms and adapting to different donor requirements. By understanding the universal components of all application forms and developing effective responses to key questions, you will gain valuable skills applicable to formal and informal applications.

Pod 5 - Mastering Complex Applications: This session goes beyond the basics to cater to the needs of sophisticated funders. You will learn to interpret complex application forms, understand proposal terminology, and create a versatile concept note template. By analysing different funders' requirements, you will gain clarity and be equipped with practical tools for effective project descriptions.

Pod 6 - Managing Relationships: This session emphasises the importance of consistently evaluating donor stewardship techniques. You will gain access to an evidence-based checklist of good practices, enabling you to assess funding relationships using a fourteen-question toolkit and cultivate rapport with donors while monitoring relationship enrichment. You will also receive a template for measuring donor rapport, a critical indicator of success.

Pod 7 - Developing a Foundation Fundraising Plan: This session will allow you to gain an understanding of the importance of having a plan to turn targets into realities. You will be introduced to a standard template for a trust fundraising plan and develop your own plan tailored to your fundraising area. By the end of the workshop, you will have a simple yet effective planning template that can be easily adapted to your internal planning formats.
